Prehistoric epic 10,000 BC has topped the UK and Irish box office chart in its first week of release.
The film, which follows a young mammoth hunter's journey through uncharted territory was directed by Roland Emmerich (Independence Day, The Day After Tomorrow).
It toppled last week's box office No. 1 Vantage Point, which dropped one place, taking more than £1.93m.
The Game Plan stayed at number three, while Scarlett Johansson/Natalie Portman period drama The Other Boleyn Girl dropped to four.
Jason Statham thriller The Bank Job completes the top five just ahead of British comedy/horror film The Cottage, starring one-time Brookside actress and Hell's Kitchen winner Jennifer Ellison, which entered at six.
Big Easter family releases Dr Seuss' Horton Hears A Who and Spiderwick Chronicles are expected to fare well over the bank holiday weekend.
