Credit Crunch. What Credit Crunch? Such a label, bandied about quite often these days, means little to the big corporations and one in particular, Chrysler Cars, is laughing in the face of the global economic slowdown. Reuters are today reporting that Chrysler has unveiled a multi-million dollar plan to help underwrite "Terminator Salvation".
Chrysler, which has received $4 billion in emergency aid from the U.S. government recently, has a longstanding deal to place its vehicles in cameo roles in the film, scheduled for release on May 22 and starring Christian Bale, executives said on Tuesday. It just goes to show that even John Connor, leader of the resistance and humanity's only hope, needs to ride in style.
"This spring, 'Terminator 4' comes out and we will be one of the sponsors," Chrysler director of media Susan Thomson said in a presentation at the Automotive News World Congress. "We have a following with the 'Terminator' movies and we are going to continue with that."
