Hudson picks "Bachelor No. 2"

In a move that is sure to shock, Kate Hudson is to explore uncharted waters by starring in yet another romantic comedy. The "You, Me and Dupree" star is to team up with "Employee Of The Month's" Dane Cook for "Bachelor No. 2", a new Lionsgate project to be directed by Howard Deutch ("Pretty In Pink").

Written by relative newcomer Jordan B. Cahan, the film will star Cook as a man who is hired by jilted men to take their ex-girlfriends out on dates from hell, thereby convincing the women to return to their great-by-comparison fellas. Hudson will play the ex-girlfriend of Cook's best friend and one of the women he's due to take out. Filming is due to start in Boston this August.
