How's this for a testosterone-filled line up?! Mickey Rourke, Jason Statham and Curtis '50 Cent' Jackson have all signed on the dotted line for "13" - director Gela Babluani's remake of his French-language thriller "13 Tzameti".
Variety is reporting that the troika of big lugs will join rising star Sam Riley ("Control") in this broody adaptation. During the recent press round for "Franklyn" at this year's LFF, Riley was kind enough to mention "13" and its grim storyline. Jokingly, the man who played Ian Curtis to such startling effect said that he was worried of being typecast in such a moody story! It looks like Riley may very well be bringing the melancholy to this project with the aforementioned trio bringing the muscle!
Babluani also penned the English-language remake, which focuses on a man who steals a mysterious package that promises to pay out a huge fortune. "13" will start shooting in November in and around New York.
