Chris Rock has been given the go-ahead to release his documentary in the US after a judge dismissed plagiarism complaints.
Rock's documentary Good Hair was hit by a law suit from Regina Kimbell, who accused the funnyman of stealing ideas from her 2007 TV show My Nappy Roots.
However, a judge has ruled that the two "are not similar at all". The film can now be distributed in the US.
Kimbell, who is seeking $5 million in damages, is pressing on with her lawsuit.
Her attorney, Reginald Brown, said, "We always knew that it would be tough getting the judge to grant a request for a preliminary injunction. We are looking forward to going to trial."
