Baldwin, Beyonce and Bassey?

You've surely heard of Dreamgirls by now, the movie version of the musical featuring Beyonce. It's unlikely that anyone could imagine the star in a different trio featuring Shirley Bassey and Alec Baldwin!

If the latter had his way, that would be a reality. The Aviator actor says he wished he was more musical and spoke about his unique vision.

"(I regret) that I never developed any musical ability, because musicians are purely talented people," he said. "Acting is the things you do when you can't sing or play the guitar or play the drums."

Contemplating life as a music producer Baldwin added: "Me, Alec Baldwin, who has no credentials whatsoever in the music industry, I'm going to contact Beyonce Knowles and say to her, 'Beyonce, you're going to re-sing the entire Shirley Bassey catalogue. And we are going to make so much goddamn money."

Or is his lack of musical ability saving him from bankruptcy?
