Lopez welcomes twins

It's a double joy for new mother Jennifer Lopez - she has given birth to twins.

The actress/singer and her husband Marc Anthony welcomed the boy and girl into their lives early Friday morning. They are the first children for Lopez and the third and fourth for Anthony.

Lopez's manager told Simon Fields told People, "Jennifer and Marc are delighted, thrilled and over the moon."

And longtime friend Leah Remini insists, Lopez, 38, is a " born mom". She added, "With our daughter, she's so great. I mean, she lets her go in the closet and play with her coats or the jewellery. She's just so giving and loving."

The couple went public with the baby news during a concert in Miami, Florida late last year. Lopez' father confirmed his daughter was expecting twins last month.

It's expected that Lopez will take a long break from her career to raise her kids. She told Harper's magazine last year, "Once I did the tour. I really just wanted to shut it down, and since then I've had to do three things, including a video. It may not sound like a lot, but you know, as this point, any woman can sympathise. It is a lot. I was ready just to sit."
