French actor Jean Reno has been forced to deny that he suffered a heart attack recently.
It was reported the Da Vinci Code actor was rushed to hospital with a heart attack during a holiday in the Caribbean. But while the actor's publicist concedes Reno went to hospital, it was for a less serious ailment.
Christina Papadopoulos issued a statement that read: "Reports that actor Jean Reno is in the hospital due to a heart attack are false. He is vacationing in the Caribbean and went to a local hospital as a precaution for some discomfort he was feeling due to heartburn and gastroenteritis. It was definitely was not a heart attack. He is fine and healthy and enjoying the rest of his vacation travelling in the Caribbean."
She joked, "I think he was just enjoying vacation and probably ate a little too much spicy Caribbean food!"
Reno and his wife Zofia are on holiday in the Caribbean island St Bart with French rocker Johnny Hallyday.
