Quentin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds has become his biggest box office success to date.

The WWII film, which stars Brad Pitt, has overtaken Pulp Fiction as his most successful film in the US.

It has taken $108 million since its release in August - beating Pulp Fiction's $107 million.

Harvey Weinstein, whose film company Weinstein financed the film, said, "We have been Quentin's biggest fans since the beginning. It was extremely gratifying to see Inglourious Basterds put up such huge numbers. It's a kick ass film from a director who always keeps me and audiences on their toes."
