Melanie C is releasing her first UK single in two years this March.
Titled I Want Candy, the former Spice Girl recorded it as the title track for a new British comedy of the same name.
The single is produced by Stephen Hague and is a cover of the Strangeloves track that's been a popular remix track with artists like Bow Wow Wow among others.
I Want Candy is about two men (played by Pirates of the Caribbean star Mackenzie Crook and Four Days In September newcomer Tom Riley) who stumble upon a fabulous film script and take it to London to sell it. Their luck changes when a seedy producer (Eddie Marsan) and a has-been porn star (Carmen Electra) get involved.
After the Spice Girls split, Mel enjoyed some success with two Top 5 albums, two No1 singles and five Top 10 singles, but lost popularity in recent years and has since been restricted to the Hasslehoffian ranks of being 'big in Germany'.
Mel's single is out on March 26; the film is released on April 6.
