Tom Cruise says he is determined not to shelter his daughter Suri from the world.
Cruise told GMTV that when raising a child in the media’s glare - “You just do the best you can”.
Talking about daughter Suri, Tom said: “She is such a happy girl, and I think that Kate is an extraordinary mother and very calm.”
“You know, people are good,” continued Cruise, “So it’s something where we’re raising her to – you know… protecting her, but also you don’t want to be sheltered in any way, and to be able to be engaged in life, and I think that’s like any parent.
"And just keeping things calm and you find that as long as we’re not worried about anything – you know, you just do the best you can with it.”
Cruise's latest film Valkyrie opens tonight and he's also a guest on this evening's Jonathan Ross show which sees the chat show host return after the ridiculously dubbed "Sachsgate".
