Heartthrob McConaughey doubles up for two-film deal

Hollywood actor Matthew McConaughey is such hot property he's been linked to not one, but two potential blockbusters.

The Failure To Launch star, who split from Penelope Cruz earlier this month, is said to be signing a two-film deal with movie studio New Line that will see him starring in a romcom and an action comedy.

Potential chick flick Ghost Of Girlfriends Past originally had Ben Affleck lined up for the lead role in 2004, but was shelved after Affleck and J-Lo's romcom, Gigli turned into a prize box-office turkey.

Then there's The Grackle - the story of a professional bar brawler in New Orleans who finds his life is in danger when his arch-enemy is released from prison and seeking revenge.

There is no release date for either film yet so if you can't wait for a McConaughey fix you can catch the handsome A-lister this October when he stars in true-life tragedy We Are Marshall, about an American football team attempting to survive a plane crash.
