Great news for Batman fans - Johnny Depp admits he would love to play The Riddler in the sequel to last year's blockbuster The Dark Knight.
It's been heavily rumoured that The Pirates of the Caribbean star would play Batman's next arch-nemesis. And Depp concedes that he would be very open to the idea.
He told MTV, "If the opportunity came, I'd definitely juggle it.
"I always liked The Riddler. I always liked Frank Gorshin. Frank Gorshin was brilliant. I always thought he was a great actor."
Gorshin played the flamboyant villain in the 60s TV show.
And Depp's possible involvement is something that would please Bale, who is currently starring with Depp in the forthcoming crime epic Public Enemies.
Bale said, "I think he's a wonderful actor, and I think he could achieve that greatly, but I'm not the man to ask."
