After just one week at the top of the US box office chart, "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" has been usurped by an Adam Sandler comedy about two New York firemen posing as committed life partners! The comedy in question is "I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry" which debuted with a healthy $34.8 million, shooting it straight to the top of the weekend chart (July 20th - 22nd). "Order of the Phoenix" meanwhile slipped into second with $32.2 million. However it's not all bad news for Potter - the fifth film in the family franchise has now taken a huge $207.6 million in the States alone.
Extravagant musical "Hairspray" opened in third on $27.8 million while big budget blockbuster "Transformers" fell a couple of spots to fourth. Fifth place went to animated family hit "Ratatouille".
