The European premiere of new comedy You, Me And Dupree was sadly lacking in star quality as two of the leading actors boycotted the event.

Kate Hudson dropped out of the premiere, held in London's Leicester Square on Tuesday night, at the last minute, and her co-star Matt Dillon was also "unavailable."

That left just remaining principals Owen Wilson (pic) and Michael Douglas to wow the crowds on the red carpet - with the assistance of the usual Big Brother Z-listers of course.

But although Owen, dressed like his character Dupree in a crumpled beige suit and trainers, refused to give any interviews, but movie veteran Michael Douglas was chatty, telling reporters he's feeling his age.

"I’m beginning to feel old y'know," Michael laughed. "All of a sudden you wake up and there’s Kate – I changed her diapers!"

Basic Instinct II star Michael also revealed plans for a new action-adventure he's making in India that will star his glamorous wife Catherine Zeta Jones - and said he'll cast a younger actor as her love interest: "I’m working on it now, nothing romantic, I’ll be the bad guy, give her somebody young as her husband – make it interesting."
