Buggy hell! Murray caught in golf cart

Bill Murray has been accused of drink-driving - in a golf buggy.

The Lost In Translation star was caught riding the golf buggy from Swedish capital Stockholm's city centre at 3.30am.

Murray, 56, was given a blood test for alcohol after he refused to take a breath test, police commander Jan-Olov Lundgren told Reuters. He was then taken to Norrmalm police station in Stockholm, where he signed a document admitting he had consumed alcohol.

"He said in the United States you don't have to do it (take a breath test)," Mr Lundgren said. "He was very calm and friendly. No problem at all. There were no obvious signs, like when someone is really tipsy."

Test results are due back in 14 days. If they show Murray's blood alcohol exceeded the legal limit a prison sentence is a possibility, but police say a fine is more likely.

Murray was apparently driving the "borrowed" golf cart from Cafe Opera, a Stockholm restaurant, back to his hotel when he was stopped. The star is in Sweden to attend the Scandinavian Masters golf tournament. Organiser Fredrik Nilsmark said: "I don't hold any grudges against Bill Murray borrowing our cart for a while."
