Movie mogul Harvey Weinstein says that if Cate Blanchett isn't nominated for an Oscar for her portrayal of Bob Dylan in a forthcoming biopic, he'll kill himself.
Blanchett, who has been nominated for three Oscars in the past - winning one, Best Supporting Actress for 2005's The Aviator - is one of the actors portraying Dylan in I'm Not There.
The Todd Haynes directed film is an experimental look at the music legend, played by six actors throughout the film: Christian Bale, Heath Ledger, Richard Gere, Ben Whishaw, a 13-year-old boy called Marcus Carl Franklin and Blanchett.
Weinstein, whose studio the Weinstein Company is backing the film, told The New York Times: "I may be jumping the gun, but if Cate Blanchett doesn't get nominated, I'll shoot myself."
Julianne Moore, Michelle Williams and French popstar and actress Charlotte Gainsbourg also co-star in the film which is released November 2007. Although if you can't wait until then, footage of Blanchett looking remarkably convincing as Dylan has already been leaked onto the internet.
