The new Coen brothers movie Burn After Reading has topped the UK box office.

The spy caper, which stars George Clooney, Tilda Swinton and Brad Pitt, saw off Eagle Eye to score a number one hit, after taking more than £2 million.

The Shia LaBeouf techno-thriller took over £1 million to take the number two position this week while animated film Igor ensured the top three chart was dominated by brand new entries.

Last week's number one entry The House Bunny fell from first to fourth. The comedy tells the story of an exiled Playboy bunny, winningly played by Anna Farris, finding a new home in a stuffy campus.

Keifer Sutherland's horror thriller Mirrors rounded off the top five.
