Anthony Hopkins may have enjoyed his recent stint at the Oscars - being one of the five past winners paying tribute to 2009 nominees - but it turns out these days the Hannibal Lector star likes nothing better than sitting down with the family watching American Idol.
The veteran actor told MTV News: "We watch American Idol. We are American Idol addicts."
He even has a favourite judge on the US X Factor equivalent, and it's not Paula Abdul: "Simon [is my favourite] because he's so brutally honest. There's no political correctness with him. He says it as it is."
