Following her breast cancer scare, Sex And The City star Cynthia Nixon (bottom left) is reportedly planning to 'marry' her female partner of four years, Christine Marnoni.
The actress, 42, recently underwent surgery and radiation treatment after she was diagnosed with breast cancer two years ago. The experience has apparently made Nixon focus on her relationship. Nixon now wants to cement her union with Marnoni, according to an insider quoted by the National Enquirer.
The source said: "Cynthia and Chris want a quiet autumn ceremony in Vermont under the red leaves. It's supposed to be a very low-key gathering, just for close friends and family."
Nixon met Marnoni in 2004, after splitting with former lover Danny Mozes with whom she had a 15-year relationship and two children.
She recently spoke about her girlfriend's "panic" during her cancer battle, saying: "My girlfriend was very scared. She was in a panic. She was just trying to calm herself down any way she could."
Talking about her SATC co-star Kim Cattrall's portrayal of a breast cancer sufferer, Nixon said she handled the storyline "beautifully."
The eagerly-awaited Sex And The City movie opens in the UK on May 30.
