With "Wanted" barely out of the starting blocks (it's released tomorrow), graphic novel author Mark Millar has already been sounded out to pen a possible sequel! Timur Bekmambetov's bullet-bending epic has already been garnering some great critical praise and could just be the surprise hit of the summer - and that's despite being unabashedly catered for a more mature audience.
Having diverged quite wildly, and uniquely, from Millar's original source material, the scribe, writing on his personal message boards, seems unconcerned about adapting his work a second time around. "Wanted 2 is already being planned and they've asked me how I can develop some of the other stuff from the book into the sequel. We'll see what Box Office is like at the weekend, but everyone knows this is going to make a LOT of dough" Millar commented.
The confident Millar seems convinced then of the combined pull of James McAvoy, Angelina Jolie and those curving projectiles and we don't have long to wait to find out as the film opens nationwide on Wednesday 25th June.
