Credit crunch be damned, the Sex and the City sequel will still be as glamorous as ever - according to the film's stylist.

Sarah Jessica Parker has made repeated claims that it would be "inappropriate" for her to wear the lavish designer clothes her character is famous for because of the global economic crisis.

However, the film's stylist Patricia Fields insists she has no plans to tone down the franchise's famous luxurious look.

She said, "I wouldn't do it. Of course the four girls are going to be fabulous and flamboyant - otherwise what's the point? I want to do it the other way. I'd be like, 'Forget your troubles'.

"I don't use the recession as a reference for my creativity."
