After finding Oscar-winning success with "Ice Age", animation specialist Chris Wedge is to bring William Joyce's illustrated children's book "The Leaf Men and the Brave Good Bugs to the big screen. Joyce's best-seller follows a troop of bugs who set out to save a garden from an evil spider queen. Once there they must call upon the help of the mythical Leaf Men.
Joyce is currently working with veteran screenwriter Jim V. Hart to adapt and expand his original 40-page novel for the screen. He'll also work on the movie's production design. Wedge most recently directed Fox's animated hit "Robots".
