What's this? Agent Smith is taking on "The Wolfman" (ah if only, that would be one film I'd pay to see again and again). Alas, it is in fact the real life alter ego and uber–scary man Hugo Weaving who has signed on the dotted line for director Joe Johnston's rehash of "The Wolfman" alongside the hirsute one himself Mr. Benicio Del Toro and the lovely Emily Blunt. Weaving ("The Matrix", "The Lord of the Rings") will play Detective Aberline the man famously chasing the shaggy tail of the lycanthrope. Sir. Anthony Hopkins meanwhile will play Wolfman Sr. with Blunt taking up screaming duties as the love interest. Weaving's signature looks set to round up the cast what with filming due to commence next month in London. "Jurassic Park III" director Johnston will take point from an Andrew Kevin Walker ("Se7en") script. Universal has set a February 13, 2009 release date for this horror remake.
