Actors tend to change their weight for an Oscar-worthy role, but Woody Harrelson has revealed he is to starve himself for 40 days – for fun.
The eccentric actor will live on nothing more than spring water on a remote Hawaiian island for 40 days because he's "always wanted to do it".
Harrelson said: "I'm going to go to a small island in Hawaii, a really remote place, and drink the water right from the stream and then consume nothing else for 40 days.
"I've always wanted to do it... I don't take it lightly. I know it's gonna be hard."
The actor, who has lived in Hawaii for eight years, refuses to name the island where he will perform the bizarre stunt because it's a place only known to native Hawaiians. (Of course it has nothing to do with the fact that his resolve may well be tested if tourists walk past eating hot dogs.)
