Peaches Geldof is facing the wrath of her dad Bob after being wooed to star in a film about her late mum Paula Yates and lover Michael Hutchence.
The Live8 organiser branded director Nick Egan and film chiefs "filthy opportunists" for linking his 17-year-old daughter to the project.
"Peaches is doing a lot of work in the media [don't they mean partying?] and is making a very favourable impression, that's how Nick's team discovered her," a source told The Star.
"And certain well-placed types are after Peaches for a cameo in the film about Paula's romance with Michael. They are thinking she could play a photographer so she would be removed from the main plot. But as she's under 18 they're going to need Bob's approval and at the moment that's not likely to happen."
The film is a potential huge hit. With former golden couple Johnny Depp and Kate Moss bizarrely tipped to play the tragic lovers it would certainly be an interesting script.
Although knowing Sir Bob's track record of sticking to his guns it's unlikely Peaches will be joining the stars on set.
