Despite less than friendly write-ups by the critics Paramount's Jackass Number Two has rocketed to the top of the US box office.
The nasty stunt-packed sequel took $28.1 million, to enter at No.1, way ahead of Jet Li's Fearless ($10.6 million) and last week's biggest movie Gridiron Gang, ($9.7 million).
MGM's First World War tale Flyboys starring opened at No. 4 with $6 million while Sean Penn's new political drama All the King's Men came in at No. 7 with $3.8 million.
The US Top 10:
1. Jackass Number Two $28.1 million.
2. Jet Li's Fearless $10.6 million.
3. Gridiron Gang $9.7 million.
4. Flyboys $6 million.
5. Everyone's Here $4.75 million.
6. The Black Dahlia $4.4 million.
7. All the King's Men $3.8 million.
8. The Covenant $3.3 million.
9. The Illusionist $3.28 million.
10. Little Miss Sunshine $2.9 million.
