Knoxville makes a "Jackass" of US box office

Johnny Knoxville and his group of slightly unstable friends have scored another No. 1 movie across the pond as their gross-out sequel "Jackass Number Two" shot straight to the top of the US box office chart. The film, which opens here in late November, scored a decent enough $28.1 million over the weekend (September 22nd - 24th), while action supreme Jet Li's final martial arts epic "Fearless" debuted in second on $10.6 million.

Last week's No. 1, The Rock's American football flick "Gridiron Gang" dropped a couple of spots to third, WW1 actioner "Flyboys" took off in fourth, and animated outing "Everyone's Hero" rounded out the Top 5. However it wasn't such a good weekend for Sean Penn and Jude Law - their update of late '40's thriller "All the King's Men" only opened in 7th.
