Despite my usual cynicism and general disdain for such childish fantasies, I found myself completely bowled over by this modern fairytale. And I can tell you the exact moment this film won me over - somewhere around the opening credits. Yes, "Enchanted" really is that beguiling as the romantic fantasy of the Mouse House meets the contemporary cynicism of the Big Apple.

"Enchanted" comes replete with a whole host of knowing winks to Disney films of old and pitch perfect performances from all involved especially Amy Adams as our heroine Giselle and James Marsden as Prince Edward. Now, it's certainly not rocket science but this extraordinarily simple idea is extraordinarily effective here and I defy anyone not to come out of the cinema humming the infectious musical numbers.
