Harry Potter actor Sir Michael Gambon, 66, is to become a father for the the second time.

The actor, who plays Professor Dumbledore in the films, has been dating 41-year-old Philippa Hart for over five years but he is still married to wife Anne, although they are separated.

He and Anne's son, Fergus, appears as an expert on the BBC's Antiques Roadshow.

A source told the Sunday Mirror: "Philippa was approaching 40 at the time and was keen to have a baby - and despite his age Michael saw no reason not to. He can afford to provide for it and wants her to be happy. But he's no intention of giving up his freedom. He likes to fly his plane at weekends."

Indeed he's said to be still living in a bachelor pad.

Hart is due to give birth in May.
