Frame has finally gone to Bono's head

The Frames frontman Glen Hansard, who won an Oscar for Best Original Song for Falling Slowly from indie movie Once, has revealed that he revealed a congratulatory text from fellow Irishman Bono.

"What was really amazing for me was getting texts from family and friends," he told RTE presenter John Murray, "and then I got a text from Bono and was like, 'Ah my god, that's just amazing.' For me, it was just like getting a text off the king of the tribe."

Hansard, who starred in Alan Parker's 1991 film The Commitments, added that he and his co-star, Marketa Irglova, are planning on touring America in the near future. Chances are, though, there won't be any more films.

"I'd like to think we'll play a few gigs in Ireland, but basically getting back to music. I mean, acting's not really my thing."
