The actress, 62, who has shed her clothes in films such as Savage Messiah, Caligula, Age Of Consent, Hussy and Calendar Girls and once claimed she sunbathes naked at home, was presented with an award by the USA Naturist Society, who paid tribute to her exhibitionist streak.
Society member Nicky Hoffman said, "Nude is not lewd, it is beautiful. Helen is actually a naturist and goes nude sunbathing."
Other celebs who were praised by the society include Kyra Sedgewick (nude sunbathing), Lost star Matthew Fox (skinny dipping) and Matthew McConaughey, who was once famously caught playing his bongos naked in his house (not a metaphor by the way).
