Having specialised in lowest-common denominator humour for most of his career, Rob Schneider is turning his attention to more family friendly fare. The "Duece Bigalow" star is to headline "Juliana and the Medicine Fish", an independent children's fantasy from director Jeremy Torrie ("Mr. Soul").
Based on the book by Jake MacDonald, the film will see Schneider playing a father who is struggling to save both his troubled fishing lodge and his faltering relationship with his young daughter. However an ancient secret in the water near the lodge may hold the key to both. Production is starting this week in Manitoba, Canada.
