Posh quits SATC movie for Spice tour

Just when it seemed to be going so well, Sex And The City: The Movie has been hit by the star walkout it dreaded - Victoria Beckham.

Yes, having managed to calm the warring "friends" Sarah Jessica Parker (who plays Carrie) and Kim Cattrall (Samantha) long enough to get them in the same room, film producers were powerless to prevent Posh Spice from quitting her planned cameo to focus on her band's rekindled career.

"I got asked to be in the 'Sex And The City' film, which I would love to have done," said Victoria.

"But because I am in full-on Spice Girls rehearsals, unfortunately I can't do it. It would have been great fun."

Indeed it would, but now we'll just have to content ourselves with watching Victoria and Geri playing the respective Carrie and Samantha roles as the Spice Girls tour their triumphant No.12 single Headlines (Friendship Never Ends) around the country.
