The comic book team-up movie Justice League, which features Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman in the same movie, will finally hit the big screen next year.
It's about time really, as it looked like the troubled live action film based on the comic book and cartoon series would never take of.
Mad Max director George Miller was announced as the director last year, but filming had to be cancelled due to the writers strike.
However, Warner Bros. have announced that screenwriters Kieran and Michele Mulroney are back on writing duties and a final draft of the script is due in two weeks.
And as for the option on the actors expiring (and not to be too cruel here), OC's Adam Brody (The Flash), actor/rapper Common (Green Lantern) and US TV star Megan Gale (Wonder Woman) have managed to clear their no doubt busy working schedules to accommodate the sure fire blockbuster.
As previously stated, Christian Bale and Brandon Routh (who play Batman and Superman in the standalone movies) are not reprising their role. Instead the two iconic heroes will be played by young newcomers - TV actor Armie Hammer has been confirmed as Batman, while Venom actor D.J. Cotrona is rumoured to be playing Superman.
