Helen Mirren is taking her forthcoming role as a Jewish agent as seriously as would be expected from an actress of her calibre, and she's taking lessons in Hebrew.
The Oscar-winning The Queen actress will play a Mossad spy seeking a Nazi war criminal in The Debt and she's been learning about Jewish history, The Daily Express reports.
A source told the paper, "Helen has spent the past six weeks reading the history of Israel, Mossad and the life and times of Nazi hunter Simon Wiesenthal and she's learning Hebrew, too.
"She's really taking this seriously and she's totally immersed into the way of life over there."
