No more sex bomb roles for Beckinsale

Kate Beckinsale is turning her back on sexy film roles in the future because she wants to be seen as a serious actress.

The actress, who has appeared glammed up Pearl Harbor, Aviator and Underworld (where she spends most of the film in a skin tight catsuit), wants her acting talents to be taken more seriously and insists she will no longer play sex bomb roles.

She said, "The sex-bomb thing is totally fun but you want to take the red shoes off sometimes. I've been wanting to do something more dramatic.

"I don't regret any of my movies but I do have a certain embarrassment about one or two of them."
