"xXx" and "Stealth" director Rob Cohen has agreed to take charge of "Scared Straight", New Line Cinema's upcoming prison thriller. The film follows a governor's delinquent teenage son, sent to prison as part of a 'short sharp shock' crime-prevention program. But while the young man is there, a riot breaks out and the prisoners take him hostage.

And in line with the director's on-screen taste for all things high tech, Cohen says that the film will be set in an ultra modern jail. "It's going to be a sophisticated, state-of-the-art prison, which of course will be its weakness," he told The Hollywood Reporter.
