GhibliWorld.com has revealed that the latest slice of animated wonder from director Hayao Miyazaki ("Spirited Away", "Howl's Moving Castle") has secured an English voice cast with a few stellar names thrown in for good measure! "Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea", due for a Western release in 2009, will feature the vocal talents of Matt Damon, "30 Rock" star Tina Fey, Cate Blanchett, Liam Neeson and Lily Tomlin.
This casting continues the fine trend of Hollywood A-listers lending their dulcet tones to Miyazaki's unique works. A Pre-Batman Christian Bale most recently starred in Studio Ghibli's "Howl's Moving Castle". "Ponyo" will tell the tale of a young boy and his rather unusual friendship with a goldfish who claims to be a princess and longs to become human.
