Shia reveals his "insane" trespassing moment

Shia LaBeouf admits he was acting out of "complete and utter insanity" when he was arrested last year for being drunk and disorderly.

The Transformers star was charged for trespassing after he refused to leave a discount store in Chicago last November. LaBeouf was told repeatedly by a security guard to leave the store over suspicions that he was intoxicated. The charges were later dropped.

However, LaBeouf has admitted to Empire magazine that he is still embarrassed about the incident.

"That was complete and utter insanity. I was an a**ehole, and it was a mistake. I'm still completely embarrassed about it," he said. "I was in the middle of a strange mind state, having just come off a three-month window of focus. I can't diminish what happened at all. But I can say this: I'm not the first 21-year-old to be arrested for a misdemeanour. There are lessons in life I need to learn, and I'm learning all of them in front of the public."

And LaBeouf also revealed he is struggling to deal with fame, admitting,"I'm still learning how to cope with it all. Fame is not as fun as one might think. There are certain obvious bonuses, you know? It's not hard to meet women. But once you meet someone, there's a whole bunch of stuff that comes with that. Like, why is she talking to you?"

"I feel like a better person when I'm working -- I enjoy it more than anything else in my life. And the pool party, tons of chicks, binge-drinking bulls**t -- that's not what I got into this for."

The actor will be seen next as Indiana Jones' sidekick in summer blockbuster Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull.
