Julie Benz, probably best known for her supporting turn in last month's "John Rambo", and next to be seen in "Punisher: War Zone", has signed on for another franchise role with the lead in "Saw V". OK, so not the most glittering of CV's thus far but the "Saw" machine keeps rolling on and making more money than sense right now.
The fifth film in the maniacal horror franchise will be directed by David Hackl, who served as the production designer on the second, third and fourth instalments...so an in-house promotion then for David?!
Production has been moving apace since March 17 for "Saw's" typical (read annual) October release.
