Since Tobey Maguire may not be coming back for Spider-Man 4 it's been reported that Sony have drawn up a list of suitable replacements.
The Spider-Man trilogy has been a huge box office success but it's believed that the main actors (Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst etc) have honoured their original three picture contracts and any re-newels would prove expensive for Sony Pictures.
And with a fourth movie being planned for 2011, work had already begun on finding an actor to replace Maguire.
Trusted scoop site LatinoReview.com are adamant that while no offers have been made yet it seems there are two names that are being seriously considered. Almost Famous' Patrick Fugit is on top of that list. Make sense, as he looks like Peter Parker, and more importantly, is a dead ringer for Maguire. Fugit also starred in Spun and last year's Wristcutters.
Young actor Michael Angarano is also being considered. He starred in superhero family comedy Sky High and was recently seen in Forbidden Kingdom.
