The Venice Festival got underway yesterday with a screening of the new Coen Brother's movie Burn After Reading starring Brad Pitt and George Clooney.
It's the Coen's first movie since Oscar-winning film No Country for Old Men and Brad Pitt, who attended with co-stars George Clooney and Tilda Swinton, was very keen to get involved.
"I've been trying to get into a Coen brother's film for many years," he said, "so when they called, I was very happy to be there.
However, Pitt had to wonder what the Coen's meant when they said the part of the not so bright characters were tailor-made for him and his pal George Clooney: "Like George, after reading the part, which they said which was hand-written for myself, I was not sure if I should be flattered or insulted," he said.
Pitt plays one of the dozy gym employees attempting to blackmail a disgraced CIA agent (John Malkovich) after they find his memoir at their gym.
The movie will be released in October.
