Ledger's ex girlfriend movie is put on hold

Heath Ledger's ex fiancé Michelle Williams' next film has reportedly been put on hold while she copes with the actor's death.

The actress, who met Ledger on the set of Brokeback Mountain, was due to star in relationship drama Blue Valentine alongside Ryan Gosling. However, the production has been put on hold to give Williams time to grieve.

A source told People.com, "We will hold off until she is ready. The production is in the process of sorting it out in respect to her."

"We're hoping she will still come back and do the film and are happy to wait. The film is tailor made for those two so of course we would want to wait. You can't get much better than them."

Williams had a baby daughter, two year old Matilda, with Ledger.
