Susan Sarandon has joined George Clooney for the episode of ER which sees the latter make his eagerly awaited return to the show .
According to E! News, the Thelma & Louise star joined Clooney on the set of the show last week and shot scenes with the actor who reprises his role of Dr. Doug Ross.
"He was charming," said one ER crew member. "Everyone had a great time with George and he told some great stories about the old days. He really enjoyed himself and was glad he did it."
Details of the storyline have remained secret.
