McDowell to face his "Doomsday"

Veteran Brit star Malcolm McDowell is certainly in demand - not only has he recently joined the cast of cult small screen hit "Heroes" and filmed a role as the iconic Dr. Loomis in director Rob Zombie's "Halloween" remake but he's now landed a role in action-thriller "Doomsday".

Writer / director Neil Marshall ("The Descent") is behind the movie which sees an elite group of specialists - including Rhona Mitra and Bob Hoskins - searching for a cure for a lethal disease. McDowell will play Kane, a brilliant scientist who is the only true expert on the virus.
