The actress/singer had a brief fling with Cruise back in 1986, when he was the rising star of Risky Business whose career was about to go into overdrive on the back of Top Gun.
Advance reports of the chatshow interview claim Cher admitted she was crazy about him, but he was a bit bashful.
"He was shy," she said about the young Cruise, just 23 at the time and 16 years her junior. "It could have been a great big romance because I was crazy for him. "
But the star admits she's not the easiest girlfriend in the world and says her last serious relationship was 15 years ago. She added, "Dating is a strange thing. It's not every man who can be comfortable with me. Being Cher is a hard thing."
