The Dirty Dancing actor, Patrick Swayze, has said he is responding well to treatment for pancreatic cancer.
He told People Magazine, "I am continuing treatment and the great news is I continue to respond well,"
The 55-year-old has been undergoing treatment at Stanford University Medical Centre in California. He was diagnosed with cancer of the pancreas in March.
Swayze spoke of how he and his wife, Lisa, had been travelling back and forth between LA and their ranch in New Mexico. NASA gave Swayze permission to use Moffett Federal Airfield near San Francisco to fly to and from hospital. The airfield, which is officially for government use only, was made available for Swayze so that he could avoid paparazzi when he goes for chemotherapy twice a month.
The star made his first public appearance since his diagnosis at a basketball game in Los Angeles last week.
