Who listens to film critics eh? Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen has stormed to the top of the US box office after earning a staggering $200 million since its release last Wednesday.
The blockbuster has been savaged by critics, but that hasn't stopped the film enjoying huge success at the box office. It has now made over $360 million worldwide.
"We're about as good as it gets this morning. This is pretty spectacular," said a Paramount spokesperson.
Last week's number one film - the Sandra Bullock comedy The Proposal - dropped down to number two after taking $18 million.
The Hangover and Up were in third and fourth place respectively, while the Cameron Diaz tearjerker My Sister's Keeper was a brand new entry at five.
