Drama school students in Reading got the shock of their lives when Kate Winslet made a surprise appearance during their lesson.
Students at Blessed Hugh Faringdon School were rehearsing for their forthcoming productions of Boogie Nights and Wizard of Oz when the Oscar winning actress entered. The Reader star is a patron of the amateur dramatic group.
She told the stunned pupils, "Don't be shy because I am very normal. Ask me questions, anything you like."
Winslet also took part in a workshop lesson with 15-year-old Jack Kowalik.
He told The Sun, "I was so starstruck because she was acting right next to me, and I was thinking, 'What if I do something really bad?'"
She also told the students: "When the lights come on you're so blinded you can't see the audience. So you don't have to be nervous at all."
